MP_exper_01-04 APPEARANCE is the first mutual work and at the same time the first public presentation of ''APPEARANCE'' by the pair of authors named MP. MP is acronym of the names of the artists who willingly decided to reject personal histories, names and previous media of expressing. MP are focused on the research of mutual expression primarily through the physical (performance) and the meditative (picture/text).
The works that MP create are tied to the place, time durance and physical/meditative context in which the personal experience of intimacy and privacy is reflected on the universality of comprehension through public performing.
The work MP_exper_01-04 APPEARANCE was created during the nine-day-long period of total isolation and fasting (intimate performance MP_00_CLEANING) when MP consumed nothing but water and tea and were mentally and physically purified.
The work MP_exper_01-04 APPEARANCE consists of four segments: the exhibition, catalogue, performance and web site.
The exhibition presents one part of works created as the synthesis of the mental processes from the period of mutual approaching and consists of digital prints and objects which MP were using during the intimate performance MP_00_ CLEANING.
The catalogue contains the works created during MP_00_ CLEANING which present the chronology of intimate happenings (getting closer to each other).
The performance is the first public appearing of MP and symbolically presents the progress in time-space in the course of total mutual connecting.
The purpose of the web site is to explain and present the synthesis of all segments of activity of MP including the work MP_exper_01-04 APPEARANCE to the broader audience.
The strategy of occurrence of MP is based on the striving for expression of the personal intimacy through universal legibility.
