All citizens from Serbia if they want or need to travel to the countries of EU must have the visa. They have no exceptions. Different countries need different roles for asking and receiving the visa. Because of scholarship and exhibition in the Neue Galerie Graz, M needed visa as well. First she called Austrian embassy in Belgrade to ask for all needs document which she has to collect for applying the visa. In front of the embassy is always queue by hundreds of waiting and nervous people. She waited for hours until she applied for visa. The same long queue and waiting for hours is for taking the visa. This becomes not only M’s ashamed but also ashamed for all people from Serbia who need to travel to EU. The title of the sound installation is ‘The gate’. It is audibly as a sound gate on the entry to the gallery space in the Neue galerie Graz, as a piece of a shame art works.
